OUR MISSION:
To provide well-informed, strategy-driven, anti-Fascist/pro-Democratic ideas for teaching, training, and executing steps to victory; to toggle back and forth between the past and present to explore the rise, retreat, and rise again of American-style and Global Fascism.
This website’s aspiration is to elevate and amplify, define and analyze, organize and mobilize, all in pursuit of radical pro-Democracy and anti-Fascist actions and activities.
Context and Action Steps
The ongoing Fascist coup, begun on January 6, 2021, reached its formal completion on January 20, 2025, Inauguration Day, the start of Trump 2.0. Since that day, when Donald J. Trump showcased his Billionaire-Epstein-Class cohorts (Musk, Bezos, Zuckerberg, et al.) while refusing to place his hand on the bible as he took the oath of the presidency, fire-hose Fascism has turned the “unitary executive theory” into de facto dictatorship.
Surrounded by clownish, and boot-licking loyalists, Trump’s cabinet is composed of bottom-of-the-barrel incompetents and sycophants. Consolidating the coup’s completion, the MAGA-led congress is a rubber stamp, the right-wing Supreme Court is an extra-constitutional enabler, the mainstream media has become a White House mouthpiece, and high-visibility law firms and universities have bent the knee. Rather than practicing their professions with principle and purpose, “guardrail” institutions have appeased, rewarded, and sold-out to the most corrupt president in U.S. history.
Meanwhile, the national Democratic Party has not only failed to understand the GOP as a full-blown Fascist cult, failed to fulfill its role as an effective opposition party, and failed to develop anything approaching a unified vision, strategy, or populist platform – rather, it has mostly embraced the fanciful belief that “moderation” and “bi-partisanship” will return the Fascist Republican Party to a reasonable, thoughtful governing partner.
More than that, the D establishment leaders, staffers, consultants, media influencers, and financiers have preached the 55-year losing mantra that “the next election will restore us to power” and “get us back to where we were before (fill in the blank: Nixon, Reagan, Bush I, Bush II, Trump) became president.” Precisely. Get the country back to the conditions that ushered in the next round of right-wing treachery – corporate welfare, billionaire tax cuts, privatizing state functions, government shutdowns, forever wars, climate crisis acceleration, court-packing, media consolidation – by playing the half-way game of compromise at the expense of people’s health, education, prosperity, family support, workplace dignity, housing, environment, food access, transportation, healthcare, leisure time, privacy, and freedom.

So, why “Fascism 2.0”?
Because it nearly “happened” in 1930s America, during the Great Depression, when a 1933-34 Wall Street-engineered Fascist plot and coup attempt — thwarted by General Smedley Butler and publicly-exposed by a 1934 Congressional inquiry — almost toppled Franklin D. Roosevelt’s presidency.
Sinclair Lewis’ ironically-titled 1935 novel, It Can’t Happen Here, the emergence of right-wing radio demagogues attacking FDR as a Communist, the growing popularity of Fascist “German Bunds,” and the Charles Lindbergh-led America First Committee (1940-41) that opposed U.S. aid to the Allies in World War II, carried forward an ideology ever-present in America, from the 1920s to the present.

So, what is the Fascism so many of us need to understand? And then see, say out loud, define for others, and thoroughly defeat? Begin with the “three cornerstone ideological system” — State-Corporatism, White Supremacy, and Religious Nationalism – out of which all the other “ugly” characteristics of racism, sexism, xenophobia, victimization, corruption, etc., naturally follow, and you will see this complete ideological system in all its grotesque, hateful, vengeful, violent, and ultimately other- and self-destructive apocalyptic world view and end-game.
